Tango Dance

This is a modern dance of Argentinian origin. Main feature of this dance are long steps and frequent posturing.


It is graceful and requires a large amount of space.  It is a vibrant and dance between two people. This danced in both modern and traditional styles. Tango is danced socially where steps are lead and followed with a natural and comfortable posture.


This is a lively rhythmical dance of Brazil. This dance is set on fast music. Men dance with the whole foot on the ground while women, often wearing heels, dance just on the balls of the foot. This dancer is also known as a sambista.  Samba dance were many styles of partner dances as well as solo dances.  Samba dance has main characteristics its rapid steps taken on quarter beats and a rocking, swaying motion of the dancers.


   Tap Dance

This is a style of American theatrical dance featuring precise rhythmical patterns of foot movement and audible foot tapping.

The tapping sound is made when the small metal plates on the dancer’s shoe tough hard floor. In this dance a dancer wearing shoe fitted with heel and toe taps sounds out audible beats by striking the floor or any hard surface.

Limbo Dance

 This novel dance originated on the island of Trinidad (West Indies). The dancer moves to a Caribbean rhythm, then leans backwards and dance under a horizontal stick without touching it. It is also known as the “under stick Dance”. It is a unique dance. The art of limbo dancing is a skill that requires fitness and a flair for excitement.


Rock ‘n’ Roll dance

     This is a very sporty, competitive form of dance which is performed to suit faster music. This is verypopular with youth.   It is sometimes referred to as a sibgle beat jive. It is originated feom lindy hop.
